Yes...another extended break from this website. But for good reason, I swear! More on that later...
One of the problems that I have had is that I end up with a ton of stuff I want to share. I read the stories, save the sites, think the thoughts, and eventually totally miss an opportunity to appear on the forefront of blogging news. Instead I usually read about my interesting finds in other locations, many other locations, and talk myself out of throwing something up here.
Well, no longer...At least, no longer with some of the old stuff. I really can't make any promises about the new stuff that I come across. That being said, read more to get a quick compilation of interesting things...
From the world of "Minority Report":
This printer is just cool: The RMPT Printer, which allows for random movement in the printing process. Instead of just linearly printing on a piece of paper, you can shake this thing across the paper and, voila!, the print appears across the page. You really should read more if this description makes no sense.
Personal sound. Imagine the irritating ads we'll see when this goes mainstream.
This is my next TV.
This guy has the ear of the President. Be afraid, be very afraid. More info: here, here, and here.
And a few more political things: Cheney's conflict with the truth; An interesting look at Bush's 9/11; and more on that day; Some unanswered questions; If you speak out against the geeks, be prepared for the onslaught.
If the earlier atomic weapons posts weren't enough for you, try this interesting website, containing comics about life in the atomic 1950's.
Maybe I should reconsider being a vegetarian.
If you haven't spent any time here, you really should do so now. MIT is in the process of making available an incredible amount of material from inside its classrooms. This is exactly what the Internet was meant to be.
Check this out. Now. It's just so damn impressive, that Nature thing.
There's even more, but I think that about covers things for right now. Oh, except for the REALLY, BIG NEWS I have.......which I will write about very soon.
